The Arts and Crafts Center is the place to pursue a hobby, learn a new skill or obtain a special gift or award. The center is located at 6905 Diamond Creek Way and consists of a wood shop, creative framing area, engraving services and a multiple arts studio.
The wood shop has a wide variety of power equipment and hand tools for your in-shop use. The staff has years of experience; not only do they manufacture many custom products but they will help you construct your own woodworking project. Other services offered are repairing damaged items, advice in safe tool operation and project design. The motto of the center is “if you can think of it they can build it”. One-on-one instruction or group lessons may be arranged for all experience levels. A large selection of commonly used woods is stocked for retail sale and they have sources for more exotic varieties. A safety orientation is required before using the shop and may be arranged by appointment, call (307) 773-3166.
The professionally stocked creative frame shop has a large variety of framing materials on hand and access to many suppliers for special orders. Basic, decorative and preservation framing is available as a do-it-yourself project or you may have the experienced staff accomplish it. The new computerized mat cutter greatly expands the decorative matting capabilities the staff is able to accomplish.
Framing classes are offered and you may sign up by visiting the frame shop or calling (307) 773-2199.
The multiple-arts studio offers a variety of classes for adults and children that emphasize the enjoyment of art. Clay workshops, ceramics, painting, stained glass, textiles, even sessions for private groups and birthday parties make up the activities the center offers.
Interested in teaching a class or sharing your special talent? The staff would like to hear from you. Call (307) 773-3754.
Custom awards and personalized gifts are the engraving shop’s forte.
Engraving on acrylic, wood, glass, metal and more is available. They can enhance your special gift with a personal message or professional dedication. Working closely with the wood shop, the engraving shop can develop a very special award that is custom built to meet your needs.
