Come check out the great things that are happening with Community Center programs.

If you are into gaming, you’ll want to come hang out here. Enjoy PS-2, PS-3, and the Wii systems and a pretty impressive selection of games. Whether your preference is individual challenges or tournament play, there is a program that is geared toward you.

If your sport leans more to chess, foosball, ping pong or pool, be sure to check out the ongoing tournaments that are offered in the shared location. If the balls you like to chase are a little larger and faster, then check out the batting cage that has been set up in the Community Center Annex, 6805 S. Frontier. You choose the type; baseball or softball, and you control the speed. If your interest leans more to the sport of archery, the range is calling your name. Until the move back to Fall Hall, you can also challenge a few friends to a fast paced game of Laser Tag. The Community Center Annex is a great place to host a birthday party or special gathering of friends.

Family Programs continue to be a strong attraction with the Toddler/Preschool Parent and Child Morning Outs, Homeschoolers Day Out / Night Out events, School Age Socials, instructional programs for adults and youth, and holiday programming. The focus on these parent and child day out programs is to give children a morning of fun, physical fitness, socialization, and interactive music, at the same time providing a networking opportunity with other parents.

Airmen can always find something to do whether it is taking part in a planned event such as Chess Club/AF Chess Tournament, game nights, scavenger hunts, airmen’s late niters, airmen/adult movie nights or simply enjoying a video game in a welcome, comfortable environment. The facility offers WiFi capability and has computers, web-cams, and scanners all networked to an off base server. Accessing your MySpace or Facebook account, as well as keeping up with your personal e-mail accounts is never a problem with the services you find in the Communibrary computer lab.

Last but not least, folks of all ages can enjoy a variety of instructional programs located in our Community Center Annex. If you are looking to train and enhance both body and mind, check out the Judo class. If music is more your forte, stop by and ask about the beginning and intermediate guitar and drum classes. The newest instructional program being run out of the Trail’s End Club facility is our Cooking Essentials class. The first class chef, can help you take your meals from mundane to “haute cuisine”.

As always, the Community Center staff continue to work collaboratively with other organizations to provide community-wide programming such as the Easter Egg Hunt, Fun Run/Walks, Tops In Blue, visits with Santa Paws, Air Force Family and Teen Talent Contest, Base Level Chess Tournaments, Frontiercade, Build-A-Boat, Trick or Treat Off the Street, Tree Lighting, Santa Grams, Red Cross Babysitting Class and more.

If your interests take you further than the gates of F.E. Warren, be sure to check out the great offerings to be found through the Community Center’s ITT office. You can find everything from tickets to Denver Zoo, Budweiser Event Center concerts and special family shows, Rockies/Avalanche/Nuggets sports events, to special discounts at such attractions as Disneyland, Disney World, Busch Gardens and more. You may also wish to discover some of the gift ideas you can find with the “Sweet Surprises Gifts and Balloons”. With the service you find here, you will never have an excuse to say you forgot that special someone’s birthday, retirement, or special occasion gift.

Don’t let another day pass without checking out the great offerings to be found with the Community Center.

Check out all the fantastic programs offered through the Community Center and Library. If you don’t find what you’re looking for, let us know!
