THE FT. D.A. RUSSELL FAMILY CAMPGROUND Office is located in the new hospitality Center on the northeast side of the camp. Enjoy modern conveniences such as handicap accessible restrooms and complete laundry facilities. The traditional red brick closely resembles many of the century-old buildings located throughout the base.

Located in Cheyenne, WY. All RV’s are required to use Gate 2 on Missile Drive (I-25 exit 10B). Directly before the gate, you’ll need to enter a red drive-thru building for a vehicle inspection. Once through Gate 2, stay on Missile Drive. Drive past the exchange and commissary, then past supply. You’ll now see signs for the FamCamp, which is a dirt road to the right. Curve around past the picnic area, over a small bridge, then stay to the right when you approach the campsites. Circle around the campsites, staying to the right. Eventually, you’ll come to the FamCamp office (which looks like restrooms). If closed, there is a self check-in and payment box in front of the building. Check-in with the Outdoor Recreation office during off season.

Reservations and Fees

FamCamp is open year-around and the office is staffed from Memorial Weekend through Labor Day, with limited services available prior to and after those dates, weather permitting. The campground features 40 full hook-up sites with 30 and 50 amp service; 10 tent sites; and 250 spaces for over flow or dry camping; and a seasonal dump station. Host building amenities include staff office, lounge area, laundry, showers, restrooms, and Wifi internet service. Reservations are accepted up to 30 days in advance with a credit card deposit. There is a 30-day maximum stay limitation. Exceptions include those on official travel orders, contractors assigned to F. E. Warren, and those with prior consent by the 90th Force Support Squadron Commander. Cancellations with less than 48-hours notice will forfeit reservation fee. The Seasons

Peak season is mid-May through Labor Day. Ft. D.A. Russell Family Campground is winterized by mid-September. Electrical hookups are available after that time but water and sewer are not.
