The F.E. Warren Arts and Crafts Center is the place on Warren AFB to learn a new skill or pursue a hobby.  It’s also the place to get hand crafted, one of a kind items for your home or office.  The Arts and Crafts center contains a full service, professionally equipped wood shop, a full service frame shop, a custom engraving shop, and  the Antelope art studio. The wood shop at F.E. Warren is known all over the country as THE place to go for custom wood working.  The shop is a professionally equipped, full service wood shop. We ship custom built flag boxes, shadow boxes, unit patches, and more anywhere in the country and even the world.  Our craftsman have years of experience and can work with you to design your dreams.  As our motto says “IF YOU CAN DREAM IT, WE CAN BUILD IT”!

If you’re a do it yourself person, we’re still the place for you. Whether you’re new to wood working or have been building for years, we’re here to help. We offer lessons and advice that can help even the most grizzled wood warrior.  Our one-on-one lessons teach safe and proper use of each of the machines located in our facility. We offer more advanced classes for those that want to improve their skills or learn new techniques.    We also offer a full selection of high quality hardwoods on-site for your convenience.  If we don’t stock what you’re looking for; we can usually get it delivered quickly.

Our custom frame shop is second to none.  We offer a full selection of frames by Larson, Omega, and more. We do everything from basic, to custom, to preservation framing and often at much cheaper prices than downtown. Also, your framing project stays on-site unlike most chain stores, so you know who is doing the work and that it’s getting done right and on time.  We also offer the “Wizard” computerized mat cutting system. This allows us to create unique patterns and designs to enhance your framing presentation.  Want to save even more? The Frame shop offers lessons on do it yourself framing.  With our lessons, you’ll get access to all the selections we offer but you’ll save on fees by doing it yourself.

The custom engraving shop is also famous for its high quality and unique products.  With our state of the art laser and rotary engravers, we’re able to engrave on acrylic, glass, metal, and much more.  At awards time, we are the place to go to get that special recognition award. We offer a full line of plaques, trophies, statues, and more.  Plus, we have access to thousands of awards and gifts that can be customized to your specifications.  We also offer a full line of items for retirement, PCS, and gifts that are unique to F.E. The Arts and Crafts Center is also home to the Antelope Studio.  Here you can unleash your creative side and learn many art mediums. We offer a full line of classes for children to adults that include jewelry making, painting, scrapbooking, leather crafting, stein making, ceramics, sewing, knitting, and much more.  The studio also offers unique opportunities to learn from local artists and to learn about the local art community.  The studio is a great place to have a creative birthday party, team building, or meeting. Birthday Parties

This Creative Birthday Celebration gives you the choice of any themed party you can imagine. Select from 100’s of crafting activities in a multitude of artist mediums (painting, ceramics, clays, etc.). Bring your own food and drinks! Bring your own decorations and party favors. The cost is $30 to reserve the entire studio for two hours and includes selected activity instruction.
Additional cost varies based on choice of activity.

Jewelry Making Classes
Jewelry Week is Jan. 17 – 20, 1 – 3 p.m. and 5 – 7 p.m. Jazz and Pizzazz – Introducing new trends in jewelry making techniques and design. Steampunk Jewelry – Restoration, knotable and repurposed jewelry. Attend the Steampunk Costumed Event  Artist Reception Jan. 20, 4 – 6 p.m. and enjoy refreshments.

Toddler Crafting Fun
Toddler Crafting Fun is Jan. 18 and is held every third Wednesday of the month, 10:30 – 11:30 a.m.

Fused Glass Class
This class is an introduction to the art of fused glass with an emphasis on fused jewelry. Jan. 24 – 26, 1 – 3 p.m. or 5 – 7 p.m.

New Glass Art – Etched Sun Catcher
Winter snowflakes on clear glass or bevels. Surround your etched design with colors of stained glass in an oval or circular frame. Learn basic cutting techniques. Etching done by our engraving staff with guest instructor Diane Wenzel. Jan. 28, 1 – 3 p.m. and 5 – 7 p.m.

Valentine Pottery
Feb. 7 – 9, open shop time 10 a.m. – 5 p.m. Keepsake heart boxes with “mini cuties” for decorations. Class includes instruction, bisque, glazes, decorations and firing. Open Studio activity. Preregistration not required. $20.

Stein Class
Take the Stein Class Feb. 8 – 10, 6 – 8 p.m. Cost depends on chosen style. $20 – $35.

Toddler Crafting Fun
Toddler Crafting Fun is Feb. 8 and is held every third Wednesday of the month, 10:30 – 11:30 a.m. $5.

Fused Glass Tapa Dish
Feb. 14 – 16, 1 – 3 p.m. or 5 – 7 p.m. Choice of patriotic colors or decor colors. Class includes instruction, system 96 glass, dichroic accents, fuse firing and slump firing. $55.

Hand Built Pottery Class
Feb. 21 – 23, 1 – 3 p.m. or 5 – 7 p.m. Learn slab techniques for wall vases, textured platters and free form items. Class includes instruction, clay, glazes and firing. $50.

Chalk Finishing Class
Feb. 24, 1 – 3 p.m. Introduction of a new “old” technique for decorating pottery and ceramic figures. Class includes one bisque piece, instruction and all materials. $35.

Woodworking
Want to learn woodworking or just need a place to work on your projects. The wood shop is the place to go. Simply take the free wood safety class and a professional grade wood shop is yours to use.

Embroidery Services
Embroidery services are now available at the Arts and Crafts Center.
If your unit is looking for unique items for morale and booster clubs, the embroidery shop can help.
We do a full line of services and can embroider just about anything.

Birthday Parties are always fun at the Arts and Crafts Center. We provide a great activity for your children’s birthday with many choices of fun projects. Plus, we’ll provide the clean up. Give us a call to reserve your day and for more details.
