Official fitness testing will occur three days per week, normally Monday – Wednesday, unless a holiday is Monday, then testing will be held Tuesday -Thursday. Times are 7:30 a.m., 9 a.m., 10:30 a.m. and 1:30 p.m. Unit UFPMs still schedule respective members. Walkers have specific times to test per the schedule and should make sure that their UFPMs know if they are on a profile to walk.
Independence Hall indoor running track has expandes its hours. The whole facility will remain closed for official fitness testing three days per week, normally Monday – Wednesday, unless a holiday week, then Tuesday – Thursday. Hours of closure are 7:30 a.m. – noon and 1:30 – 3:30 p.m. during test days. In short, with few exceptions, the indoor track is open Thursdays and Fridays to the public at all hours. The weight and cardio rooms will maintain their same hours of operation as before: Monday – Friday, 5 - 7:30 a.m., noon – 1:30 p.m. and 3:30 – 6 p.m.
For those seeking physical conditioning opportunities, there are two fitness centers on base. The main fitness center – Freedom Hall includes the 90th MDG’s Health and Wellness Center. Together with the HAWC, the center provides a variety of programs for physical fitness, social interaction, personal training program set-up, and self-improvement. The base also has Independence Hall Indoor Track. We can only offer personal training programs at this time. Are you a personal trainer? Contact us!
Located at 6000 N. Schriever Rd, near the Child Development Center, Freedom Hall Fitness Center is well equipped and staffed for individualized and group sporting activities including basketball, volleyball, and racquetball courts. A weight room offers the opportunity for individual conditioning with free weights, Star Trac steppers and cycles, Star Trac treadmills, recumbent bikes, Strive weight training equipment, Stairmasters, and rowers.
Free aerobics and spinning classes are offered at Freedmon Hall at various times throughout the week. For those that want a challenge, Bootcamp is offered at Independence Hall twice a week.
For parents, Freedom Hall has an exclusive exercise room for you and your child. A dry sauna is located in each locker room of Freedom Hall. Around the base, there are three tennis courts, three softball fields, three multi-purpose fields, a 1.3 mile track, as well as longer route maps for walking, jogging, and biking. Intramural sports include flag football, softball, basketball, bowling, golf and volleyball. See your squadron sports representative for any questions regarding intramural sports.
Independence Hall Indoor Track is located at 6711 10th Cavalry. It features an indoor running track appealing to groups or individuals.

3 on 3 Basketball
Sign up for the 3 on 3 Basketball Tournament Mar. 17, 9 a.m. at Freedom Hall Fitness Center. Deadline to sign up is Mar. 15 at noon. Free entry. Maximum team size is 5. Prizes awarded to the first place team.
2012 Air Force Marathon Race day is Saturday, Sep. 15!
Lace ‘em up early for the 7:30 start of the Full Marathon and the 10K. Want more of a challenge than a 10K but not quite ready to run 26.2? Then join us at 8:30 for the Half Marathon start. The choice is yours! Pick your pace…pick your race!

Strength Equipment Orientation
We offer strength equipment orientation upon request during all open hours. This will maximize your efforts for strength training and help minimize risks of injury.
PT Exercise
For your convenience, the south side of Independence Hall (Indoor Track) has been reorganized and is now open to accommodate unit PT/group exercise sessions. The area can comfortably accommodate approximately 20 personnel. Groups as well as individuals are also welcome to take advantage of the free spinning and aerobics classes provided by certified instructors and offered in Freedom and Independence Halls.
Parent and Child Exercise Area at Freedom Hall
This exercise room is open to parents to use while watching their own children in a space provided for children. It is equipped with a treadmill, cross trainer, recumbent bike, stepper/climber, weight machine and mats. The children’s area has a TV/VCR/DVD player and soft toys. Parent are asked to sign in at the front desk and respect the rules of use.
Patrons using either fitness facility are required to show their ID card and hand-carry their fitness shoes into the facilities. These policies are designed to enhance security, maintain facilities and equipment and ensure everyone is wearing appropriate fitness attire.
Fitness and Spinning Classes
