Outdoor RecreationReservation Policy
Reservations are advisable on campers, boats, bounce house, super cookers, pavilions, party tents and are accepted at anytime. Reservations on campers, boats and party tents require a debit/credit card (MasterCard or Visa) number to be held but not charged. GPC cards are accepted for squadron functions, but must be coded for ODR use. All other equipment is on a “first come-first served” basis.

Cancellation Policy
If a renter desires a reservation to be cancelled, a 48-hour notice is required on campers, boats, bounce house and party tents. In the event the renter cancels with less than a 48-hour notice or is a “no-show”, the credit card number held for reservation will be charged at that time in the amount of a one day rental fee. Credit or refunds for cancellations is given on a case-by-case basis with consideration given to emergency situations.

Late Fees
All recreational equipment rentals are due back one hour before the close of business on the determined return day. Late fees are equal to a one day rental fee and accrue daily. Payment of late fees is due at the time the item is returned and there are no exceptions.

Returned Equipment
All items must be returned clean and dry. The customer will be held personally responsible for additional cleaning charges which amount to a one day rental fee and there are no exceptions. Any customer checking in equipment that has been damaged or not returned at all (lost) will be charged a repair or replacement fee. Fees will be determined by an ODR representative at a fair market value.

Winter Gear to Go

The rental equipment is available to all active duty, retired military, reservists, national guard, DoD APF and NAF employees and their ID card holding dependents, 18 years of age or older and is based on availability.

Rental Policies and Procedures

  1. Ski equipment may be reserved up to 7 days in advance and all rental items are first come, first served, including reservations. Minimum one day fee.
  2. No charge for day of pickup or return. All equipment fees are charged for time out, not time used.
  3. Sundays and Holidays are charged as additional one-day rentals.
  4. Our personalized service includes fitting of boots, bindings and poles. After your fitting card is on file, just call up to one week in advance to reserve your equipment.
  5. Minimum cancellation notice is 24 hours. Failure to pick up reserved skis will result in a $5 set up fee.
  6. Fees will be paid at time of pick up.
  7. Only adults 18 years of age and older may pick up or return skis.
  8. All equipment must be returned in a clean and dry condition. Customer will have the choice of repair or replacement on any items damaged beyond normal wear and tear.
  9. Late fees accumulate at the daily rate. Please make arrangements to have your equipment back on time.

Procedures for Campers, Boats, Party Tents and Super Cookers

Thirty-minute appointments are required for pick-up and drop-off of campers, boats, party tents and super cookers to explain set-up and oversee check-in. We strive to ensure all items are serviceable, damage free and clean when loaned and all equipment is required to be returned the same. A qualified ODR technician will inspect all equipment upon return and assess for service, damage and cleanliness. Personal, private insurance, including coverage on the towed vehicle is required to rent these items. In the event your insurance company does not cover rented tow vehicles, the renter will be held personally responsible for complete repair or replacement of any items that are damaged, lost or stolen. If equipment is returned dirty, the customer will be charged a one day rental fee for cleaning services.

Campers

SCAMP – 13’ fiberglass hard-side travel trailer. This trailer features a 2-burner propane gas stove, propane heater, ice box, sink, carbon monoxide detector and can comfortably sleep 2 adults or 2 adults and 2 small children. It requires either an 1 7/8″ or 2″ ball hitch, (depending on the unit) and a flat-four electrical connection on the tow vehicle for trailer lights. This trailer has a hitch weight of 80 lbs. and a GVW of 2200 lbs. Trailer is equipped with a one full 20-lb propane tank and a 10-gal water tank upon rental. All trailers must be returned with a full propane tank and a receipt as proof of purchase. Reservations are encouraged and can be accepted up to 30 days in advance of rental date.

FUN FINDER – 18’ aluminum hard-side travel trailer. This trailer is self-contained (with toilet, shower, sink), and features air conditioning, a 2-burner propane stove, sink, propane refrigerator/freezer, propane heater, outdoor shower, carbon monoxide detector, smoke detector, cable hook-up and radio/CD player. Tow vehicle requires a 2″ ball hitch, round-seven electrical connection for trailer lights and an electrical braking system is highly recommended. This trailer has a hitch weight of 114 lbs and a GVW of 1135 lbs. Trailer is equipped with two full 20-lb propane tanks and a 20-gal water tank upon rental. All trailers must be returned with a full propane tank and a receipt as proof of purchase. Gray and black water holding tanks must be empty and cleaned upon return. Patrons returning trailers with holding tanks left full (partially or fully) will incur a minimum $50 disposal/cleaning fee. Reservations are encouraged and can be accepted up to 30 days in advance of rental date.

Boats

Boat and canoe rentals include paddles, life vests, and throw cushion. Boats have a 1 7/8″ or 2″ hitch. A flat-four electrical connection is required on the tow vehicle to operate the safety lights. A Boating Safety Certificate of completion is required for all motorized boat rentals. A free course, study-guide and self-test is available at ODR or Wyoming Game and Fish. Plan ahead, as you will need to present your Boating Safety Certificate at the time of rental.

Party Tents

This special event, fully enclosed 20 x 30 party tent with doorway and windows (3 available) is great for weddings, graduations or any other outdoor celebration or event requiring a special touch. Tents may be reserved up to 30 days in advance. Due to excessive weight and size, party tents require extra manpower to pick-up/set-up and an accommodating transport vehicle. If you prefer to leave the heavy lifting to the professionals, ODR offers an optional drop-off and set-up service for $75.00 to be requested at the time of reservation.

Bouncy House

Great for birthday parties, family reunions, or family-friendly fun with kids! This inflatable bounce castle is available year-around and we recommend reservations during peak summer season (May  August) to ensure availability. Because of its large size and weight , it is easily transported in a convenient pull trailer from ODR. A 1 7/8″ ball and flas 4 connection for lights is required on your tow vehicle. If you choose to pick it up rather than use the trailer, be sure to bring along at least three able-bodied adults to assist in loading. ODR staff cannot be responsible fro loading or unloading into your private vehicle. Rental fee is $85.

Super Cooker (Grill)

We offer 3 sizes of tow-behind charcoal grills, with an overall cooking surface ranging from 3.75’ X 1.75’ to nearly 6’ X 2.75’ with a “1 7/8″ or 2″ inch hitch. All are available year-round and can be reserved in advance. Grills must be returned clean and empty of charcoal. A cleaning fee equivalent to a one-day rental will be assessed grills returned dirty.

Pavilions

The Base Lake Pavilion is located at South Pearson Lake off Rogers Road and is available for year-around rental. It features a completely enclosed and climate controlled meeting/dining area; ten 6’ tables; 2 outdoor charcoal barbecues; an outdoor playground, volleyball pit and restrooms. The Famcamp Pavilion is located southwest of Ft. D.A. Russell Campground is available when weather is favorable. This pavilion features a covered picnic area, several 6’ tables, restrooms, and situated near an open grassy field, nearby Crow Creek and the base archeological center. Pavilions are rented for a 24-hour period at a cost of $40. Functions in which alcohol will be present require a 90 MW Alcohol Letter, available from ODR. Please allow at least 7-days prior to event to complete coordination of this letter. A cleaning fee equivalent to a 1-day rental will be assessed to those leaving the facility unclean. All Pavilion rentals must be checked in and checked out with ODR staff.
