Childcare Subletting App Comes To F. E. Warren AFB!

Parents at F. E. Warren now have an easy way to sublet childcare at the CDC. The Kinderspot app helps Department of Defense families on Air and Space Force bases offer or find weeklong blocks of time for rent at the CDC.

The Kinderspot app allows families with children at a DAF CDC to offer weeklong blocks of time to other families, receiving a credit to their account when another family rents their spot. This allows parents to save money when on leave or TDY.

Families on the CDC waitlist must complete paperwork at their CDC before booking available weeks through the app. Rental fees are paid directly to the CDC at the renter’s rate, based on the family’s total family income.

This app was designed to be a helpful tool for military families. It is useful, intuitive, easy to utilize for CDC parents. Ongoing efforts from developers improve the app’s features and functionality, including push and wait list notifications.

“With today’s technology, everyone utilizes a mobile device for everyday life and family management. Adding the new push and wait list notification options provides installations, managers and families the convenience of subletting their childcare spot with ease,” said Senior Master Sgt. Shawanda Summers, AFSVC Community Services senior enlisted leader.

What We Offer

Meals and Snacks

All meals and snacks meet the requirements of United States Department of Agriculture (USDA).

Breakfast, lunch and an afternoon snack are offered daily.

Breakfast is served from 8 - 8:30 am
Lunch is served from 11 - 11:30 am
Afternoon snack is served from 2 - 2:30 pm

Meals and snack periods are conducted in such a way as to contribute to the children’s overall development.

Meals are served with time for socializing.
Children are encouraged to serve themselves, and will be helped as needed, but are not forced to eat.
Foods are not used as a punishment or reward.

Parent Advisory Board Meetings

All parents of CDC, Youth Center and Family Child Care are invited to attend. This offers parents a way to become involved in their child’s program, give ideas and support to increase quality.

Give Parents a Break Program

Is your spouse deployed or on a remote tour? Are there other personal concerns that could be eased by a little time out from the kids?

GPAB is held at the Child Development Center (CDC) for ages 6 weeks – 5 years and the Youth Center for ages 6 – 12 years. Get a referral slip, register your child at the CDC and make a reservation no later than the Monday prior to the GPAB date. Referral slips can be obtained from a commander, first sergeant, chaplain, Airmen and Family Readiness Center, Family Advocacy, Mental Health, Youth Center or Child Development Center. Proof of the child immunizations must be presented at registration. To learn more about the program call the Child Development Center at 773-3221.

Child Development Center

Need a nurturing environment for your children while you’re at work? F.E. Warren’s Child Development Programs offer quality, affordable, and conveniently located care. The CDC is a nationally accredited program by the National Association for the Education of Young Children. Their goal is to provide closely supervised play and developmentally appropriate activities for young children. Programs are available for the convenience of parents who need to be away from their children for short or long periods of time during the day. Care is available weekdays on both a full time and hourly basis.

Located at 5000 Ft. Russell Way, the CDC provides care for children 6 weeks through 5 years Monday – Friday, 6:30 – 5:30 p.m.

Professional CDC staff members are available to provide a safe and pleasant environment, as well as create a cognitive and physical developmental program which combines social and educational activities for your child.
Daily learning experiences include large and small motor development, manipulative skills, creative arts to include painting, music and movement, simple science and math, outdoor play, hygiene and self-help.

Special activities and field trips are planned for special learning experiences.

The CDC also offers monthly respite care program, “Give Parents a Break” for referred families.
